XKL has announced the release of the DarkStar Aggregation Transponder 100 (DAT100), allowing data center operators, cloud service providers and enterprises to aggregate and transport up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) services in a single 100G channel across their network

Why does this matter? 

In today’s bandwidth-hungry world, network operators are under constant pressure to scale efficiently while managing legacy infrastructure. XKL’s DAT100 directly addresses those challenges by aggregating legacy 10G services onto a single fiber pair, enabling high-data-rate transmission without the need to rip and replace.
